Long-service leave A period of additional leave that an employer can choose to give employees who have completed an extended period of service. is a period of additional leave granted to employees Any person, whatever their age, who is employed by an employer to do any work for hire or reward under a ‘contract of service’ (commonly called an ‘employment agreement’). who have completed an extended period of service with an employer.
